Located 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands sit at the convergence of three major ocean currents: the warm Panama Current, the cold Humboldt Current, and the deep, cold Cromwell Current. • Darwin and Wolf Islands: The crowning jewels of Galapagos diving. Accessible only by liveaboard, these islands offer encounters with massive schools of hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, silky sharks, and gigantic whale sharks (especially June to November).
• Marine Iguanas of Cabo Douglas: Snorkel or dive along shallow rocky reefs to watch the world's only marine iguanas dive down to graze on green algae.
• Playful Sea Lions & Penguins: Swim with Galapagos sea lions that love to play with your fins, and spot Galapagos penguins darting through the water.
• Mola Molas at Punta Vicente Roca: Dive deep walls where oceanic sunfish (Mola Mola) come to be cleaned by reef fish.

Diver Level & Conditions

Galapagos diving can be challenging, with strong currents, deep walls, swells, and water temperatures ranging from 62°F to 76°F depending on the current and depth. All divers must have an Advanced Open Water certification and a minimum of 50-100 logged dives. A 7mm wetsuit with hood and gloves, or a drysuit, is highly recommended.
